A Breastie Sound Journey — from an actual bed
Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes with a lot of pink.
We’d like to give you somewhere to lie down.
This October, Backyard Breasties is partnering with Trieu Spiritual Awakening, and Snoozzz Organic Mattress & More for a restorative evening created especially for women actively navigating breast cancer treatment.
And because our host happens to be a mattress company, we’re doing the obvious thing:
The sound journey is happening on mattresses.
No trying to get comfortable on a thin yoga mat. No pretending the floor feels great when your body has already been through enough. Pick a mattress, get settled, and let somebody else take care of things for a little while.
The evening will include gentle restorative movement, guided sound meditation, and time to simply connect with other Breasties who understand that sometimes “doing something for yourself” should require very little actual doing.
Sunday, October 18, 2026
5:00–7:00 PM
Snoozzz Organics Mattresses and More
3095 E Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362
Tickets are complimentary for active breast cancer survivors, but registration is required because we only have room for 40 attendees.
What should I bring?
Come comfortable. Wear clothes you can easily move and rest in. We’ll provide the mattresses and the experience. Bring a favorite blanket, cozy socks, eye mask, pillow, or anything else that helps your body settle, bring it along.
You do not need yoga experience. You do not need meditation experience. You do not need to be flexible.
You mostly need to show up.
Who is this for?
This gathering is designed for women who are currently in active breast cancer treatment or actively navigating breast cancer recovery.
If treatment has changed your strength, mobility, balance, or comfort, please participate only in ways that feel appropriate for your body and follow any restrictions from your medical team. Resting for the entire class absolutely counts.
Why Backyard Breasties?
Backyard Breasties exists because cancer doesn’t stop at the hospital door.
The garden still grows. The dog still needs care. The leaves still fall. And sometimes what a Breastie needs most is another person willing to say:
“I can take care of that.”
We provide practical garden and pet-care support for breast cancer patients in Ventura County while creating opportunities for connection, restoration, and community.
This night is another version of that same idea.
For two hours, there is nothing you need to tend.
Come lie down. We’ve got you. 🌱💗
Your complimentary ticket includes
Restorative yoga and gentle movement
